Just How Mature Are You?

Y'all ready for this one? I'm gonna step on some toes the way I had mine stepped on- and it's gonna hurt so good! This is a topic that many Christians think they are doing well in, but may not actually be... MATURITY. Not the "I never act silly" or "I'm always the serious one/the one in control" type of maturity. Rather, I'm referring to spiritual maturity, the whole: meat vs. milk thing. Don't get that reference? And if so, will I also make my request known to Him? Answer: It seems that this question alludes to a type of prayer. Prayer is communication between me and God, right?! I guess the real question here is, am I willing to pray and make my requests known, with expectation...not just that my prayers will be heard or answered, but instead that He will answer my prayers? I am willing to pray, but I guess the best way to put it is that my spirit is willing, but my flesh is weak. I think that I made my prayer time so complicated that … [Read more...]
