Do you ever feel like you are out here in this big lonely world all alone? Ever wonder where your faith in God will actually take you? Do you ever think “What’s the point?” If so, you are not alone. Many people have felt the same way at some point and time in their lives. Even the Psalmist from the Bible have said to our creator, “Where are you?” The amazing and comforting thing about God is that He knows how we think and He wants us to seek and search for Him. In our searching He will reveal Himself to us and we will know where He is.
Let’s take a look at Joshua 1:7-9
“Be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and of good courage, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Our heavenly Father has taken the time to speak to us through His word. He tells us not to fear and to be courageous. The reason for this courage and strength doesn’t just come from within ourselves. Instead, it comes from knowing where God is. He makes it very plain that He is with us and will continue to be with us wherever we go. Not only will He be with us, but He also tells us that if we do what He has commanded us to do…meditate on the word, apply it to our lives, and do it, we will be prosperous and have good success.
It can be hard to trust in what we cannot see, but that is where our faith comes in. We are not trusting in wooden statues that are made with the hands of men. Nor are we believing in idols of stone which have been etched with the tools of men. Instead we choose to place our faith in the only Living God. This God that we have faith in makes us a promise that He will be and is with us wherever we go.
That means that even when You feel alone, He is still there. When You feel lost, He is still there to guide you. When you feel afraid, be strong and courageous, for the Lord you God is with you wherever you go~
