The days of our lives are very precious. The seeds that we allow to take root in our hearts and grow are also very important.
Today I spoke to a believer who has a space at a local flea market, where he and a couple other believers evangelize. This wasn’t the first time I had ever talked to these individuals, but this was the first time that the truth of what they believe had been revealed to me. We had been discussing some key things about faith, when on gentleman gave me a DVD that he had purchased for me to watch. After telling him that I would take the time to watch it. The other gentleman handed me a a paper that he too wanted me to read. I was happy to see that they were taking the time to invest in materials to defend their beliefs, but I really want them to invest their time in finding out if what they believe is biblical. Later in our conversation, I said that it was by Jesus’ stripes that we were healed. He asked me if I had become blind, do I believe that if I had the faith to believe God’s word that I would be healed? My answer was yes, because Jesus was beaten with 32 lashes for my healing. He let me know that those lashes were for our spiritual healing and not for our physical healing. I have heard of those who don’t believe that healing is for us today, but I have never had anyone actually say it to me. I believe that the healing was spiritual, but also for physical healing. He also told me that when Jesus was on this earth he healed people only as a sign to show that He was the Son of God. I was also told that Jesus never told us to heal the sick or raise the dead. Then I was asked if I would be taking up snakes and drinking poison.
So why am I making this post, you may be asking? We as believers of the true Living God, who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to live and to die for us, must make a decision as to what and who we are going to believe. Jesus lived sinless so that He could become sin for us. He was beaten and bruised for our healing. He lived a life that we could see and strive to walk as He walked. His death was for our life. Everything that He did was for us to have life and have it more abundantly.
We must study to shew ourselves approved, so that we won’t be ashamed. We must assured and confident in the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ask yourself, what will you believe? I am choosing to believe the word. Above all else, I believe what God says.
This is what In Faith Ministries is all about. Believing the word of God and walking by faith. We must study the word, learn the truth, and encourage others to do the same, as we preach the gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere that we go. The truth is that they may look at us like we are crazy, but they looked at Jesus the same way. God takes the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.
My prayer is that you would hear and answer the call of God to learn of Him and proclaim the truth of His Word, Jesus Christ. It’s your choice…Stand Up For JESUS!
