Isaiah 53

Who has believed our report?
And to whom shall the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant.
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form of comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
He is despised and rejected by men,
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent
So He opened not His mouth.
He was taken to prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
And they made His grave with the wicked-
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His Hand.
He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

Questions to Ask

  • Do you believe that Jesus died for us on the cross?
  • Are you willing to change your life because of what He did for you?
  • Do you believe He went through all of the pain, grief, heartache, and  punishment for your to have peace, healing, and life more abundantly?
  • Are you willing to receive all the He has endured to give you?
  • Are you willing to live in the freedom of Jesus Christ?

The Word In Our Hearts

Please know that these questions are not just for unbelievers, but they are believers also.  We must decide if we are going to believe the word of God and if we are going to live by His word.  Its not just about what we do, but it is also about what we believe to be true.  Jesus went through such lengths so that we could have life not only in this age but also in that which is to come.  What does that me mean? It means today, tomorrow, and for all eternity.  Trust the Living, Loving God and He will never fail you.

Remember:But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.”
Romans 10:11

  1. I’m not sure where you’re getting your information, but good topic. I needs to spend some time learning more or understanding more. Thanks for excellent information I was looking for this info for my mission.

  2. I get my information from spending time in the word and in prayer. I also take time to think about what I am reading and ask myself the questions that are being placed in my heart by the Lord. Many times what we are missing is a little quiet time with Him and it makes all of the difference. We shouldn’t ignore the questions in our minds and hearts. They are our questions, but some of them are questions that the Lord leads us to so that we may come to know Him better. When we ask Him the questions, He will show us things that we never imagined. When we examine ourselves and ask ourselves questions that need to be asked, we grow to new heights and change for the better.
