Standing In Faith

Yesterday was a very busy day.  While I was overcoming from a bug that I had "somehow" gotten after prayer in my home on Thursday night, it seemed that my children were overcoming same bug as well.  So while we didn't go to church, we did have worship, prayer, and service.  We watch the web-cast that our church provides and I did my hair while listening to the word. During prayer I called my kids into the room and prayed for their healing.  I thank God for children that love Him and have open hearts to hear his word.  All of us quickly started feeling better. I watched some of the DVD that I was given by the gentleman at the flea market and I felt the word rise up in my spirit in defense of my Father in heaven.  Although I currently don't want to publicize the name of the DVD, I do want to say that it has caused my spirit to be stirred to search out the truth and make the truth known in Jesus' name. I must say that I am very aware of the trickery that is out in this world to steal our hope in God.  The enemy doesn't want us to believe that we serve a good God, but instead he wants us to be confused and unwilling to trust God.  I thank God that it's not about … [Read more...]

If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.     ~2 Chronicles 7:14 We must always remember that our God longs to hear from us.  He is waiting to do many great and wonderful things for us, but He does wait on us to ask of Him that He may bless us in ways that are unimaginable.  I praise and thank God for His willingness to communicate to us over and over again how much He loves us.  It is that very love and faithfulness that grabs our attention and draws us near to the Father's heart. Thank you Father God for your gift of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and Your abundance of LOVE! … [Read more...]

Isaiah 53

Who has believed our report? And to whom shall the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant. And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form of comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent So He opened not His mouth. He was taken to prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions … [Read more...]

What Will We Believe

The days of our lives are very precious.  The seeds that we allow to take root in our hearts and grow are also very important. Today I spoke to a believer who has a space at a local flea market, where he and a couple other believers evangelize.  This wasn't the first time I had ever talked to these individuals, but this was the first time that the truth of what they believe had been revealed to me.  We had been discussing some key things about faith, when on gentleman gave me a DVD that he had purchased for me to watch.  After telling him that I would take the time to watch it.  The other gentleman handed me a a paper that he too wanted me to read.  I was happy to see that they were taking the time to invest in materials to defend their beliefs, but I really want them to invest their time in finding out if what they believe is biblical.  Later in our conversation, I said that it was by Jesus' stripes that we were healed.  He asked me if I had become blind, do I believe that if I had the faith to believe God's word that I would be healed?  My answer was yes, because Jesus was beaten with 32 lashes for my healing.  He let me know that those lashes were for our … [Read more...]

Exodus 14

Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:  “Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn and camp before Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite Baal Zemphon; you shall camp before it by the sea.  For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, ‘They are bewildered by the land; the wilderness has closed them in.’ Then I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, so that he will pursue them; and I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD.” And they did so.Now it was told the king of Egypt that the people had fled, and the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people; and they said, “Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?” So he made ready his chariot and took his people with him.  Also, he took six hundred choice chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt with captains over every one of them. And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel; and the children of Israel went out with boldness.  So the Egyptians pursued them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and overtook them camping by the sea … [Read more...]

Genesis 1:26-31

And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind.  And God saw that it was good. Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our  likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."  So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.  Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food"; and it was so.  Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it … [Read more...]

Psalm 6

O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, have mercy on me in Your hot displeasure. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O Lord-how long? Return, O Lord, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies' sake! For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks? I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. My eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of my enemies. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; The Lord will receive my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly. ~Psalm 6 What does this psalm tell us? This psalm shows us the emotions if David, a man after God's own heart. It gives us freedom to come to God in honesty about the things we are enduring. Through David's emotions in this psalm God let's us know that it's alright to feel and to express those feelings to Him in prayer. The Lord hears us when we … [Read more...]

Psalm 27

The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When you said, "seek My face," My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord I will seek," Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my … [Read more...]
